Alpha Diverter Valve Gland Nut (48063 | 248061)
The Alpha Diverter Valve Gland Nut Assembly (Part Nos: 48063 or associated with the full hydraulic valve block 248061) is a precision-engineered mechanical sealing component designed for the traditional brass 3-way diverter valves used in legacy Alpha boiler models. Positioned at the critical junction where the moving internal pushrod pin exits the brass housing to actuate the system microswitches, this component contains the internal seals and alignment guides. It allows the metal spindle to slide smoothly back and forth while maintaining a high-pressure hydraulic barrier against the primary heating water inside.
-
Spindle Leak Mitigation: Replacing a degraded gland nut effectively eliminates common front-end weeping and tracking leaks along the valve’s activation pin.
-
Low-Friction Stem Alignment: Features an integrated internal guide bush that keeps the pushrod perfectly centered, preventing mechanical binding or sticking during hot water demands.
-
Electrical Component Safeguard: Forms a reliable, watertight barrier at the front face of the valve block, protecting adjacent electrical microswitches and wiring looms from moisture damage and corrosion.
-
Heavy-Duty Construction: Machined from high-grade brass to resist thread stripping, extreme thermal expansion, and degradation from chemical water inhibitors.
